Where you have been disqualified from driving you can, in some circumstances, apply for your licence to be restored.
The timing of the application depends on the length of time you have been disqualified and how much of that period has expired:-
The procedure is for the applicant to serve a summons on the Chief Officer of Police and normally they, in turn, are represented by the Crown Prosecution Service. Therefore, it is important that the application is well supported and that you are able to argue why the licence should be returned.
If your case involved the use of alcohol it will require you to obtain evidence from your doctor or other professional person.
The Court will carefully examine your behaviour since the disqualification was imposed and to that end it may be necessary to call character witnesses.
